Soumyo Chakraborty is a VP in the Engineering division at Two Sigma Investments, a technology driven investment management firm based in New York City. His responsibilities there include technical project and product management, and strategy. In his role as the CTO of the Wharton Club of New York, Soumyo hopes to establish a deeper connection with the Wharton community, understand the great variety of impactful work the alumni are engaged in, and nurture a lifelong relationship with the school. His goals are to help the club better leverage technology in reaching out to the large alumni base in the region, delivering valuable services, and improving the level of member engagement.
Prior to these positions, Soumyo has worked at several technology start-ups, including at his own, in various roles including engineering leadership, technical project and product management, and architecture. He has also worked in Computing Systems Research at AT&T Bell Labs and the Engineering division of Goldman Sachs. He holds an MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University and an MBA from the Wharton School where he was a Palmer Scholar. Soumyo lives in Edison, NJ with his wife and two sons.
