- Doug Wheeler is a serial entrepreneur with three decades of expertise steering early-stage data, media, and technology ventures, including founding five startups. Presently, he serves as the co-founder of Filly Foods & MezeHub, a food industry enterprise engaged in wholesale, retail, and restaurant services specializing in Balkan and Mediterranean cuisines.
- From 2017 to 2020, he was the visionary force behind Partskeeper, an innovative DIY marketplace, social platform, and community parts resource catering to automotive enthusiasts. Prior to this, Doug held the role of co-founder & COO at Personal, Inc (DBA TeamData), a pioneering venture in secure cloud data storage and collaboration, successfully acquired by Digi.me in 2017.
- From 2000 to 2006, he played a pivotal role as founding management & COO of Map Network, a groundbreaking online mapping platform that revolutionized content creation and distribution for communities, which was ultimately acquired by NAVTEQ/Nokia in 2006/2008, where it flourished as the Location Content Division.
- Doug's journey in entrepreneurship began in 1992 when he ventured into New World Publishing, where he served as Partner, Country Manager & Publisher, spearheading the launch of newspapers, magazines, and online news services across Hungary, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Doug earned his B.A. cum laude from Claremont McKenna College and his M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
