Grace Virtue is a
n interdisciplinary scholar and public affairs practitioner, based in the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area. She has extensive experience in media, higher education, global health, and other non-profits focused on marginalized communities in the United States and the Caribbean. She is the founding principal of CLASS (Cosmopolitan Leadership Academy of Silver Spring), a leadership and workforce development training facility.
Deeply grounded in the humanities and social science, Grace earned a doctorate in the humanities, and a Master’s degree (development communication), from Howard University. She worked for 10 years as principal researcher, writer, and chief ideator for all high-level communication projects for the Office of the President and initiated several innovative projects addressing the needs of minority communities in the United States and Globally such as the United Nations World Conference on Race, Racism, Xenophobia and related intolerances held in Durban, South Africa in 2001. Since then, she has been an advocate justice inside and outside the workplace.
