The Patent Eligibility Restoration Act (PERA) is about what is eligible to be patented and could eliminate entire swaths of innovation from the patent system. It is essential to understand how the legislation works to exclude certain inventions from patent eligibility, such as phone apps, software, and other technologies you may be developing. 

This is a critical discussion regarding the future of our innovation system. Former Chief Judge of the Federal Circuit, Judge Paul Michel, will be a special guest speaker and provide insight into this legislation.

Judge Michel is involved with the 101 Taskforce and has contributed to PERA. He will discuss with us his viewpoint on the bill. Some of the US Inventor members, including those who have lost 101 challenges, will ask questions. US Inventor is developing its position regarding the legislation. This discussion will be the best opportunity to learn about the important issues of this bill.
