Robert Matzen is the author of 10 books, including the international bestsellerDutch Girl: Audrey Hepburn and World War II. His 2016 book Mission: Jimmy Stewart and World War II continues to earn recognition for its groundbreaking account of Stewart's 20 combat missions. Matzen's 2014 book Fireball: Carole Lombard and the Mystery of Flight 3 received the Benjamin Franklin Award as Biography of the Year and was also recognized by the Smithsonian Institution. His debut novel, Season of the Gods, will be published in October 2023 by GoodKnight Books.
