Eli M. Rosenbaum, W76, WG77: Justice Dept. efforts to bring prosecute hidden Nazis to justice
- Mr. Rosenbaum will speak about the challenges and results experienced in four decades of continuing U.S. Justice Department efforts to identify, investigate, and prosecute perpetrators of World War II Nazi crimes and postwar human rights crimes who found safe haven in the United States.
- He will also discuss the case of former United Nations Secretary General Kurt Waldheim, whose long-hidden Nazi past he helped uncover while working at a U.S.-based NGO in 1986. He covers that intensive and extensive effort to uncover the truth, despite huge challenges and opposition from surprising places - such as famed Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal - and find justice in his outstanding book, Betrayal.
- Here's what Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel said about Betrayal: "Expert and eloquent, Betrayal is a well-documented important book."
- You are invited to join as Eli takes us with him on his journey of thousands of miles in Europe and the U.S., to find the needed proof to overcome the huge obstacles he and others faced.
- His resilience may inspire you when you face huge challenges that seem insurmountable.
- You will learn what forces drove him forward, that you may be able to apply to conquer seemingly impossible tasks and opponents in your own life.
