Ron Mayer Leads Tour at Natural History Museum, NYC

You're crazy if you don't join us for the next one!

Nineteen lucky alumni and friends were guided through the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH) on October 30, 2024 by Chase alumnus Ron Mayer, a volunteer "explainer" at the illustrious institution.

As one participant wrote in a thank you note, "Ron, your seamless and beautifully delivered docent tour of this house of treasures was superb. It's so difficult to navigate such a vast space, both in terms of physical dimension, and more importantly, in terms of content, you mastered it brilliantly and made it all the more relatable with interesting tidbits of information about the JPM connection. Very impressive and enjoyable!"

Mayer, who worked for Chase as a regulatory attorney in the Chase legal department and as Corporate Secretary between 1981 and 2006, has long been a science buff. To lead tours at the museum, he went through four months of training, read a lot and learned a lot from fellow guides. His overview of a number of areas of the AMNH whet everyone's appetite for more.
